Marriage, secular style

It’s hard to imagine the revulsion and horror that nominal Christians feel toward homosexuals. In fact, unless you are yourself devoted to their traditional hypocrisy, you can’t. Jesus came to divide the people, and he did. There are those who love Him, and there are those who love themselves and claim to worship by the Book.

Christians in name only, by far most of us, can endure ourselves only by being better than the wicked. Difference is wickedness. Bold, explicit difference is evil incarnate. Nominal Christians don’t just despise homosexuals, they’re terrified of them.

Meanwhile, God created us in his image, to love each other, and so very often we do. Marriage is awfully hard, in my experience. Anyone committed to trying is welcome to it.
